Experimental Typography

Materials: paprika, turmeric, chili powder, ice chunks, carving knife, headlamp, Canon 5dmii & 24-70mm f/2.8L, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop

Ideation: For my word pairing, I chose hot and cold. For “cold” I decided to use block letters to communicate how atoms slow down when cold and planned to create frozen type by forming the letters with chunks of ice. For the word "hot" I planned to used spices like cumin, chili powder, turmeric, etc, to create flowing typography in an interesting near ombre effect. I'm hoping with these methods the results will not just look hot and cold, but create a related feeling for the viewer.
